Last year we went to Utah. Dinosaur Park, the Children's Museum, Planetarium and Lagoon. We all had so much fun packed in just one week. One of our most memorable vacations ever!

Another new digital album from Smilebox. My free trial ends Saturday night so I am trying to complete as many layouts as possible. The week of Halloween 2008 was full of fun. EITC had a carnival complete with Trunk-or-Treat for the kids. It happened to fall on Brady's birthday so he was serenaded (that's him in the sombrero) and he got a cake. Next daycare had their party, then Halloween dress-up at work...yep that was us working ALL day. Finally trick-or-treating, free ice cream and ending up at home. Whew!

TGIF!!

It's finally Friday and while it may not be a payday it IS the day before my vacation. I am off all next week with my boys. This year we have not really made any plans but we will just find some fun stuff close to home. Fishing, swimming, movies, parks, etc. It doesn't really matter because it will be nice to just hang out.

Horses...

I wish that I could take the boys horseback riding somewhere this summer. Hmmm will have to google it.

Vertigo is not just a movie...

It was an incredibly long weekend. I had some trouble with being dizzy and completely carsick even while I was laying in my bed! After going to the doctor (I just could not deal anymore) I was given a little yellow pill for the dizziness and nausea caused by "vertigo". It worked so well but sure does make me tired, not to mention stupid! I was yawning all day at work today but the worst thing was I was an idiot... making dumb mistakes and losing my train of thought. Wonder which is worse the illness or the cure?

Because we are a couple of days late sending Alysha her birthday gifts I decided to add something special. I made this album for her this morning. The boys picked out the music...okay, Brogan wanted "If You're Happy and You Know It Clap Your Hands" but he got out voted. I burned it to a DVD and it works on the computer and the t.v. That is pretty cool!

This is my first Scrapbook using Smilebox. It was very easy but does not give you very much creative freedom. You cannot even choose to add more pages...bummer. This is 100% their layouts with my own pictures. I would need to do 3-4 books just to cover his first month! Not all of the photos we took turned out well because of very low lighting but I plan to use each and every shot. :)

Today Brogan is digging for treasure (little blue shiny marbles he buried yesterday)in our front dirt patch. It's a dirty job but somebody has to do it. Dirt is not a problem for me...as long as it stays outside. He does have some helpers since SeaOtter, Girl Otter and Po are eager to join in the fun. Brendan and Brady are watching Mrs. Doubtfire (thanks to Deb's VCR) with Pagemaster next on the viewing list. They are waiting for it to cool a little bit so they can walk to Tautphaus park with friends. What am I doing today? I am working on two layouts at once...I must be crazy LOL!

Old photos

I am one of those scrappers that have boxes of photos just waiting to become that perfect creative memory keeper...a scrapbook page. Unfortunately, I have not done much scrapping in awhile (2 years is awhile, right?) Now thanks to the new technology I not only have boxes of photos but folders on my computer. I have all these pictures and I never know where to start. You'll be seeing old pictures in new layouts here. I've decided that I am going to just randomly pick a folder and pics on my computer and then use them for a layout. My goal is to create at least 2 layouts a week. So far I have met that goal...yay me! I'm leaving them small for now because I'm still working out how to adjust stuff on here.

Digi Layout

This is the first time I have actually been pleased with part of this blog stuff. The layout a one I made specifically for the page. I realized that I don't take many single pictures of the kids, they are always together. I need to make sure to single them out more often. As usual Brady is in a tree LOL. He would live in one if I let him I'm sure. I'm itching to get more pages done and include them too. I've done so many digiscrap layouts that I'd saved to my first external hard drive; when it went kaput all the layouts did too. :( Now I'm smart enough to save them in more than one spot.

The beginning...

Thanks to Shayna's influence I am trying my hand at blogging. I've done MySpace and Facebook but it didn't feel just right. After seeing Shayna's creative and colorful blog with her digiscrap layout I was inspired to try myself. So far I have to admit that I suck LOL. I have spent more time trying to find the perfect layout that I am not actually doing any blogging.

I'm not giving up. My hope is that my family and friends will be able to connect with us here. I'd love to show my layouts and how my kids are growing. I can do this....I am determined.
